I started

I was one of the first in my class to  bring a computer and within about 2 weeks 8 computers were connected through a LAN where we played a custom level of Duke-Nukem every spare moment we had from school or when we were not in our fraternity-bar.

The training started with PPL (Privat Pilot Liscence) theory, which took 3 months.
After these 3 months we were sent to Tucson, Arizona where we stayed for 3 more months to do the practical part of the PPL.
We flew from Ryan Airfield, west of the city of Tucson and flew all yellow Beech F-33 Bonanza's.

After 12 instruction hours we all went solo and made the skies around Tucson and Phoenix unsafe.

After this we went back to the Netherlands to complete the theory-course for our CPL.
Soon thereafter we were back into the air again, but this time in the Netherlands, to learn IFR-flying in a Beech A-36 Bonanza, then a twin-rating on the Beech 58 Baron and finally a "type-rating" on the Airbus A-310 simulator.
