Since KLM wasn't doing very well, they did not offer us a job, although they were bound by a contract to do so. After having waited 2 years for the KLM we came in  contact with lufthansa, who needed pilots desperately. After some very hard admission-tests (we wondered if Lufthansa was looking for pilots or astronauts) I started my training in October 1999, completed the type-rating on the Airbus A-320 family (A-319, A-320 and A-321) and started my line-training on 31 January 2000 which I finished on 27 May 2000.

Me, flying a A-319 on a visual pattern during "landing-training" at Zadar, Kroatia.Bram (another Dutch pilot from KLS) and I in front of an A-319.Airbus A-319...Airbus A-319 at take-off...Airbus A-319 on VERY short final...

Our base is Frankfurt, Germany, so most of us live in Wiesbaden.
