8KHA+ Volt Mod

In the bios of the Epox 8KHA+ the maximum Vcore is 1.85V. In order to achieve higher stable CPU-overclocks I wanted to get 0.1V more and did the following mod of the voltage regulator on the motherboard.

Epox 8KHA+.The Voltage chip with wires soldered to pin 2 and 17.

In the first picture is my Epox 8KHA+ with the Voltage regulator in the red square. In the second picture a close-up of the voltage regulator. In order to increase the Vcpu by 0.1V a resistor of 220 W needs to soldered between pin 2 and 17. I allready soldered 2 wires to these pins.

220 Ohm resistor installed.Close-up of completed mod.

In these 2 pictures the resistor has been soldered between the wires and the soldering points have been isolated by "shrinking-plastic". In the bios, the setting of 1.75V will now be 1.85V actual and the setting for 1.85V will now be 1.95V actual, this can be checked on the info-page in the bios.
